ECSPR in one line
EU Regulation 2020/1503 (in force since 10 November 2021) created a single EU-wide framework for crowdfunding intermediaries. Cyprus's CySEC is one of the most experienced ECSPR authorising authorities in the EU. Project ceiling €5M per project per 12 months. Single authorisation enables passporting across all 30 EEA states.
Once CySEC-authorised, the Cyprus CSP can passport into all 30 EEA states under ECSPR Article 18. Notification-based — destination state authorities have 1 month to respond. Passport works in BOTH directions: Cyprus CSP markets into other EEA states; foreign CSPs can market into Cyprus on notification.
